Good morning, my darlings! Today, I was thinking of something to write about, my best friend called, and I thought Bingo! I'll right about preppy best friends! So, now I shall begin. My preppy bff is Zaila. Zaila is really cute & preppy, and adopted from Africa. She's pretty amazing :) And! preppy things are always better in twos! Like....... Starbucks Frappuccinos!

Think Pink!

Hello my beautifuls! Today, is a pretty, sunshiney beach day at ol' Myrtle Beach, and I'm looking out over my deck onto the purtyness of the beach:) So yeah. Today is a good, day, I'm sippin' on Starbucks and texting my boy.... And thinkin' Pink. Why pink? I dunno.... some days pink just gets on the mind (at least it does for me:P) and today is one of those days. So, on this fine, sunny, tuesday, As I am pondering pink, these are a few pink lovelies of my closet that came to mind. SO, my fabulous chiquitas, here's my tuesday top ten of pink. 

1. Fabulous Chin Chin Lilly Pulitzer pinkyish dress:) Just so purty and adorable!

2. fabulously chic flourescent pink J.Crew butter twill chino shorts! I Have these, and I just LOOOVEE the fab splash of pink it adds to any look :) 

3. Adorable Bubble Necklace in Hawwt pink! I just love mine, how it accents my look with a perfect touch of pink. 

4. SO adorable pink Jack Rogers! (well, these are actually my sisters, but, still adorable, and top 10 worthy:)

5. My favorite perfume vs PINK perfume in Wild&Breezy, smells Amazzzing, a splash of lovely scent that makes me smell fresh & lovelyliscious :)

6. My pretty pretty pink floppy sunhat I ordered from Etsy! I haven't gotten mine delivered yet, but this is it, and it is oh so lovely:)

7.  One of my personal faves, a wonderfully lovely & versatile Vineyard Vines pink shep shirt quarter zip<3 I love it!

8.  My fabu Lilly tumbler in Pink Flamingo pattern! I love it, makes me feel so chic & fab as I sip away  on my sweet tea :D

9. My very pretty pink Hunters, gifted by my grandmomma :) I think  they're pretty lovely, dont you? 

10. And coming in at number 10, are my lovely pink nike shorts that I'm in lovvee with! 

So, yes..... I love pink, it's my second favorite color :)

Lilly Love!

I have an obsession with all things Lilly Pulitzer. It's the truth.  I love everything Lilly & I dream of the day I can afford a real Lilly Shift Dress. Anyways. My want of the summer was a real pair of Lilly Pulitzer Buttercup shorts. 

Pretty, aren't they? So, yeah. I wanted a pair, REAL bad. But, alas, they cost $68. 

So, of course, as my fellow cheapos, you know that I am not paying $68 for a pair of shorts, no matter how how cute, or pretty, or colorful, or wonderful they are........

But,  frugal, pretty, preppy girls, I have news. There is hope for our kind. and it's name is eBay.com. 

My dream came true, one monday night,, when I came across these.....

Fabulous Lilly Pulitzer shorts in Nibbles print, Size 2! YAY! Oh, and the best part..... new with tags.....for only $40! This is totally awesome.....because these are a new print from this spring, and they cost $68 plus tax, oh.... and my friends, eBay has no tax! So this bargain, I saved $28! Boo-Yeah!!

Dreaming Of Jack Rogers.......

Yes, Yes. I said I never would, but, I caught the Jack Rogers bug! I do not have a pair......Everyone knows, the chic, gorgeous, and all tooo cute classic preppy sandals are totally in this summer. Don't know exactly what Jack Rogers are? Here's a pic...

Seen these before? Jog your memory? 

If you go anywhere in the summertime.....your bound to see at least 3 pairs.

This iconic brand developed in Capri in the 60s, and became officially "iconic" when Jackie O started wearing them. 

Check out those cute kicks!

So, yeah, Jack Rogers have been worn by preppy people everywhere ever since!

Now, the Brand has been recognized in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and they have their own store on Madison Av. in NYC.

So, you're probably wondering, since I know so much about these shoes, why don't I have a pair? 

Well, for one thing, they cost $110. yes, $110 that I don't have, and my parents aren't going to spend on a pair of sandals. SO, I settled on a pair of fake-os from the Shoe Dept. For $20, and vowed to resist the  $110, real leather beauties, and press on in my $20 bargains. 

Well, they looked pretty good for a while, then, the plastic started peeling, the bottoms started to peel off, etc. Now-don't get me wrong, I'm all for fake-os. I say, if it looks real, no one else has to know! (well, these dont really look that real, but anyways). So, I have to have a new pair. 

Well, through the days of me wearing these fakies, I would see fellow preppy people, struttin' their stuff in their new Jacks, (real Jacks). And I'd think, shoot, I reallyyy want some of those beautiful, real jack rogers..... So yeah, I caught the Jack Rogers bug real bad, and fell head over heels in love with a pair of Navajos in Platinum....

Purty, aren't they? So, I don't want to spend my hard-earned bucks on a pair of sandals, do I? But I do..... 

So, anyway, your homegirl did the right thing, resisted these fabulously real Jack Rogers, and didn't spend the bucks. (my frugal side is stronger than my preppy one....most of the time). 

But. I was on ebay, and found them!!! My darling Jack Rogers Navajos in Platinum size 7! 

for a mere 65 buckaroos! So hip-hip-hooray!

YAY! So, my beautiful frugal preppys, if you've caught the Jack Rogers bug, like me, and yearn for the lovely leather sandals (So you can be matchers with the iconic Jackie O!) There is hope! I am an eBAy lover! I sell my old stuff on there all the time, and you build up a balance, so it's basically like a gift card where you can trade in your old junk for fabulous things! 

So, my pretties, check out eBay, before you shed a tear over the forbidden, $110 shoes

So yeah, I'm in love. And I can't wait for my Jacks to arrive!
